I love night walks and this album narrates those solitary moments. Utterly other-worldly in its delivery and truly encourages me to marvel at the most simple additions to the music. It also fits into the narrow category of ambient music which truly engrosses me throughout. An atmospheric gem.

Their whole discography is great but I keep coming back to this album. I've been listening to this one daily. I bought the LP and don't even have a record player! The guitars remind me of burning logs on a bonfire (fuzzy, crackling and warm) and Dorthia's vocals reverberate like a haunted ghost. Windhand 'effing' rules!

I don't mean to be a "first albums only" elitist or anything of the sort since I didn't even discover these guys til maybe a year and change ago, but truth be told- the demo tracks are my favorites despite Deafheaven's undeniable growth and evolution into a broader sort of awesome.
